You may notice these blogs aren’t posted on any sort of consistent marketing schedule. Why? Because consistency of presence is more important to me.

And, dare I say, consistency of presence is more important generally—in both life and business.

In life, a parent who is emotionally present with their child has much more of a positive impact than one who punishes their child for something like accidentally breaking a dish or by withholding dinner until the homework is done.

In business, your potential clients and customers care more about whether or not they can trust you than how often you post on social media.

Trust is determined by how they feel in your presence when they are talking to you directly AND when they are interacting with your brand through touch points such as your website and marketing.

When you don’t listen to what’s really being called for and push a sale that someone can’t actually afford or it’s not right for them at the time (or in general), that may cause more problems for them and you…*cough* karma!… down the road.

If you’re more focused on strategy than being of service, potential customers sense that and may experience it as a question mark when it comes to deciding whether or not to engage.

I practice not forcing until it flows with both my own marketing and when working on client projects. For example, I took most of the day off before writing this email. While still having a business, I also took a few years off from plowing “full steam” when I needed to heal. During this time, I actually made presence the new normal in my business and life. Sometimes it’s simply 5 minutes to find my presence before what would be best for me to share bubbles up.

I know firsthand how hard it can be to rewire from the old norms, and can tell you hiring the right for me support people is one key. Another key was being present with the rebrand that wanted to emerge through me which was fully in alignment with my vision, values, and calling.
